My name is Sunday, but friends call me Sunny.
I’m an author, coach, speaker, and blogger. My passion is to empower and enable project managers and STEM professionals realize their goals of having a flourishing career and living a thriving and happier life.
I’m married to a wonderful woman and we have four adult children. I’m crazy about my three boys and my daughter. My heart’s desire is for them to be the best they can be in whatever they do.
A little more about me . . .
Some people find it difficult to believe that my background is in STEM. Yes, I was trained as an engineer and project manager. Over a career that spanned more than 30 years, I had the opportunity to work with teams of engineers and other professionals across four continents.
As an introverted engineer, connecting with people was difficult for me. That became a big problem when I started leading project teams. I didn’t know how to lead, influence and motivate my teams. But I was determined to achieve success on my projects. That was when my search began, to find information on what I needed to do, in order to better connect with, and lead my teams. The resulting growth and success has led me to what I do today.
I'm passionate about equipping and enabling people to develop the skills needed to achieve all-around success in both their personal and professional lives. I speak frequently on leadership topics using stories from my personal experiences and my more than two decades of professional experience.
As a certified emotional intelligence coach, I help leaders and those being groomed for leadership positions to understand and leverage the power of their emotions to achieve success in leading and motivating their teams.
I’ve worked hard to develop the skills I use today. And I still work at it. As an engineer, many of those skills did not come naturally for me. But my story is a testament to the fact that with passion and perseverance, you can achieve whatever you set out to do. That's the reason I'm committed to helping others develop those same skills to achieve success.
I’ve been fortunate and blessed to have had the opportunity to speak to audiences of varying sizes - from just a handful of people to several hundreds at seminars, workshops and conferences.
